Patio Winter decoration!

Last weekend we did some seasonal decorating on my patio.

My fave color in the garden at this time of the year is red! Unfortunately I have no Holly with red berries growing in my little garden, like I used to have a big bush in my old garden, but I'm still trying to get lots of red outside for example with this red glass ball ornament:

Delicate plants in pots like roses, rosemary and my boxwood ball got a warm wrapping contending of one or two coats of bubble wrap, then when we had wrapped the pot up we've put it in a second bigger pot and stuffed lots of foliage from the garden between the first bubble wrapped pot and the second bigger pot and then we've put it in a big jute sack like you can see in the following picture, put some moss and red apples or pine cones on top and ready was the warm winter wrapping!

Also it is important to place the pot on 3 or 4 little terracotta feet so that it doesn't stand directly on the cold ground! You can't see them in my photo because of all the ivy tendrils growing over my patio.

This season I also have a couple of birds living in the white cage, see:

Some red accents, like in my case little red apples, a red enamel bucket and a red enemal watering can are making the patio look livelier at this time of the year, where almost all flowers have faded:
