The competition in 2002 for the design of the Grand Egyptian Museum was the largest architectural competition in history. Loos Architects contribution was an anonymous extrusion of stone hollowed-out with quasi-urban qualities inside determined by cosmic apparitions - sunset, sunrise, the moon - as well as the city of Cairo and the pyramids.
