The Types of Wood Flooring (Parquet)

The parquet floors can be classified into different types depending on the material used and how to install it:
1- Depending on the material:
- Natural wood parquet: Formed by natural wood slats, this is a pavement composed of boards with three layers of glued wood.
The thickness of each board is 15 mm round, which do correspond to a 4mm top layer which will then be sanded and / or polished.

- Synthetic or laminated parquet: It consists of sheets of pressed wood fibers. On a sheet of high density wood sticks a photographic reproduction with decorative motifs that mimic the wood in different types.
Over this placed a layer of protective resin that highly resistant to impact, wear, daily use and even burns.
Depending on the quality of synthetic laminate the pavement will be more or less resistant to external factors often damage the floor.
The blades are attached to the click system that allows the union to be very strong and resistant over the years. Installation is quick, simple and clean.

2- According to how to install it:
- Glue parquet: It is a system consisting of solvent, this is a reason of why it facility provides a slower but higher quality finish. The adhesive is continuously applied in a layer of glue using a spatula on the floor where you will apply the parquet. It is ideal for small parquet slats.

- Floor parquet: Vogue very much in at present, is very popular because of its easy installation and maintenance in addition to economic expediency.
Comes factory painted, it consists of a hardwood layer 3 or 4 mm and the other side is solid wood (pine or fir).
On the old pavement, placed a foam which has the acoustic insulation from moisture. Can be installed on heated floors built.
The platform floats on the old pavement and the foam insulate, hence the term floating. The different blades fit together, so the soil is not set or the floor, or walls.

Trends in Wood Flooring (Parquet)

If you choose wood as flooring material for your home, then you get many benefits: warmth, comfort, beauty and elegance. And last but not least, durability, and a wood floor properly maintained can last lifetime.

In decoration, trends are changed periodically and hardwood floors (Parquet) are not exception:
- Colors: extreme tones are used dark, the very light almost white and gray are the latest trend.
General rule for people who looking for clean tones with a homogeneous appearance to give the feeling of spaciousness to the rooms; is to use wenge wood and walnut, for a house under the rule of modern and contemporary decor, while the beech or cherry are reserved for classic styles.

- Sizes: broadband and very long pieces, requires designs which consist of several tablets, as they provide a continuous note to the floor (although this type of flooring is more expensive).

- Finishing: we find a predominance of natural wood and antique style (one of the most current).
There is also a tendency to use oil-treated wood, stained or painted in different colors, especially white. The effect matt or the wax is the latest, bring natural and organic (for lack of varnish), although this type of soil is very delicate because it gets dirty and easily damaged.
