New Work ::: Campus Centre for Molloy College


The 57,000 ft2 campus centre and associated programme for a main quadrangle at Molloy College designed by BRB architects. Accommodation includes a 550-seat theatre, a café, study space, lounge, student club space, a bookstore and an art gallery some located facing the courtyard. The building is organized as a series of three layers separated by open-ended circulation spines, which allow visual connection to the Molloy Campus. The industrial interior contrasting with the austere yet modern exterior.

New Work ::: LAM cafe

LAM Café is a 350m2 eatery in NhaTrang, Vietnam designed by a21 studio that derives its name from the local word for ‘louvers’ and expresses the structure and the architectural concept. The designed like a folded shell the roof is constructed of layers of coconut leaves, tiling and fishing nets.

New Work ::: The Okanagan College Centre of Excellence

Dubbed A Living Classroom, the facility designed by CEI Architecture is a net-zero energy and water consuming building. Electricity is generated by the largest photovoltaic solar array in Western Canada located on the roof of the building. Structure is provided by a combination of concrete and laminated timber columns, with wals made of composite panels. All these features make the Okanagan College Centre of Excellence one of the greenest educational facilities in the world.

New Work ::: The Josephine Baker School

Built on a trapezoid-shaped plot of land in La Courneuve a Parisian suburb, the €8m Josephine Baker School is a modern early education facility for nursery and elementary ages. Designed by architects Dominique Coulon & Associés the 6,500m2 building recalls a pair of demolished housing blocks by merging the playgrounds for the older children and that reserved for the younger children.

New Work ::: Red Stair, Melbourne


Designed by Marcus O'Reilly Architects, the Red Stair is an urban amphitheatre and public square along the Yarra River in the central business district of Melbourne, Australia. Conceived as a place to hold small meetings and demonstrations, or for sitting in the sun enjoying a bite to eat before returning to work. The iconic form and bold use of colour of the Red Stair brings attention to the urban space. The structure is backlit, giving a glow in the darkness the form of the back wall cuts the wind and conceals the roadway below.

New Work ::: Contemporary Art Museum (CAM)

Brooks + Scarpa has just completed a new 22,300 ft2 Museum located in the Historic Depot District of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The near $6m Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) is defined by its expressive entry canopy and features exhibition spaces, archive and art storage, an educational centre, offices, a catering kitchen and a sculpture garden. Formed from an existing two-story brick structure the new museum balances the previous aesthetic with a spartan interior of industrial material and concrete.

New Work ::: Uluwatu Villas

The flagship of the Alila Hotels Bali, Indoesnia the Uluwatu Villas designed by Singaporean firm WOHA (Wong Mun Summ & Richard Hassell) is the promise of luxury. Named after Pura Luhur Uluwatu the Baliese Temple, the elegant jeweled boxes are sited along a rocky cliff the southern tip of a peninsula with breathtaking vistas of natural, uncorrupted scenery and out to the Indian Ocean. The cluster of 34 residential villas with amenities were designed under high environmental guidelines adhered to during construction, maintenance and general use of the villas. The architectural language of Uluwatu combines refreshing contemporary lines and detailing with traditional materials that speaks to the heritage of Balinese culture.

New Work ::: Capela de Santa Ana

Designed by Póvoa de Varzim based practice e|348 Arquitectura the chapel in Sousanil, Portugal is a physical testament honoring Santa Ana. Located on a triangular plot of land, the small chapel grows from the site like a piece of sculpture. The modern yet spiritual interior features oak wooden flooring and details, with white washed walls and reinforced fair faced concrete projections. With a capacity of about 30 people the chapel feels grander due to the play of light where the walls punctuated with thin fenestrations.

New Work ::: Visitor Centre of the Roman Theatre of Málaga

Designed by Tejedor Linares & Associates, the 172 m2 Visitor Centre was aimed to be fully integrated with the historic site, the visitors, and the city beyond. The facility acts as a cultural axis that passes the Native House of Pablo Picasso, the Alcazaba, the Museum of Málaga and the Picasso Museum. This axis leads the city into an experience of the past and future of the area, uncovering layers of Spanish culture that touch art, entertainment and civic remains.

The materials of the building are humble, coloured concrete integrate with the natural tones of the limestone and soil of the hillside and the walls of the Alcazaba. The exterior is finished with the Lex Malacitana - the laws of the Roman municipality of Málaga in the last first century written in a serigraphic on both the glass . This graphic condition is a beautiful system in Latin that supports the context the two fundamental needs of the Visitors Centre: to present and archive the archeological remains recovered from the site and to provide interpretation and support to the on going archeological works.

designed by architect J. Mayer H is part of the redevelopment of Plaza de la Encarnacion, Seville, Spain and contains an archeological site, a farmers market, an elevated plaza, multiple bars and restaurants spread over 12,500 m2.
At 28.50 m high spread over 4 floors the Metropol Parasol becomes a unique attraction for Seville and at €90 Million building is now considered to be the largest timber structure.

new work ::: Soumaya Museum


The recently opened Museo Soumaya designed by FREE (Fernando Romero EnterprisE) is located in a former industrial zone. The avant-garde morphology and typology is intended to play a pivotal role in the transformation of the area into a preeminent cultural community. The completed project contains over 60,000 square feet of exhibition space housing over 6,200 pieces - arguably one of the most significant art collections in Latin America.

New work ::: Sra Pou vocational school, Cambodia

The vocational training centre and community building in the village of Sra Pou in Cambodia was designed by Finnish architects Rudanko + Kankkunen. Originally a conceptual project, the architects turned into fruition starting their own practice to complete the building with the assistance of the NGO Blue Tent in the spring of 2011.

The 200 m2 school building is comprised of local red sundried soil blocks and made by a local workforce utilizing no machines or prefabricated parts. The aim was to teach people how to make the most out of the available materials and teach building techniques the workers could employ to their own houses in the future.
